Alice Cooper Welcome To My Nightmare Returns

 Since I was a teenager - in fact since i was about six years old - I've loved the idea of Alice Cooper. At six , of course, I didn't understand the theatricality of the performance, all I saw was a bloke with wierd make up and a cane (If I remember correctly) on top of the pops with a backing band consisting of people with the longest hair I 'd ever seen.

At some unconscious level those performances have led me to where I am now, sharing a flat with people who love zombie movies and Frank Zappa. That particular time period in California produced some classic artists all of whom deserve a blog or hubpage to themselves.

 My first conscious experience of out of body (or astral) travel occoured because of my desire to see alice cooper in concert. I remember lying on my bed in the north of england and allowing myself to relax and drift to the point that I was transported mentally to a gig which was happening in Brighton on the sale evening. I witnessed that performance in real time and have never forgotten it.

I also vowed that I would see Alice Cooper live in concert physically at that point and had the pleasure of seeing the nightmare returns tour when it arrived in newcastle a decade later.
